Turkey has begun deploying troops to Libya at the request of the Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli. The move comes after the intensification of fighting in recent weeks has put the GNA’s control of the country’s capital at risk, with the rival Libyan National Army (LNA) making a series of military gains.
